We are looking for a Service Engineer to join a leading global marine technology company supporting customers across Southeast Asia and beyond. This role plays a critical part in delivering technical excellence and outstanding customer support for advanced navigation and propulsion control systems used on commercial vessels.
You'll be part of a dedicated technical support team that provides remote troubleshooting, on-site commissioning, and backend support to ensure optimal performance and reliability of shipboard systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commissioning, service, and technical support for integrated marine navigation and control systems across the SEA region.
- Perform workshop testing, technical evaluations, and system configurations to meet project and customer requirements.
- Deliver remote technical assistance and collaborate with the field service team to resolve system issues effectively.
- Prepare accurate service documentation, including reports, updated drawings, and technical logs.
- Support the sales team with technical input and manage associated pre- and post-service administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering
- Hands-on experience with marine navigation systems (e.g., radar, ECDIS, autopilot, gyrocompass)
- Prior experience in the maritime or offshore sector is highly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach
- Willingness to travel regionally for short service assignments when required
