We are looking for a technically hands-on Field Service Engineer / Equipment Engineer to support the installation, setup, and commissioning of semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer wafer fabrication plants. This is a vendor-based role working on-site at customer fabs, supporting advanced semiconductor tools.
Perform on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of semiconductor equipment at customer wafer fabs.
Execute equipment hook-up, calibration, alignment, and system checks according to specifications.
Support tool qualification, acceptance testing (SAT/FAT), and handover to customer operations teams.
Troubleshoot equipment, mechanical, electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, and control-related issues during installation and ramp-up.
Work closely with customer Equipment, Process, and Facilities teams to ensure smooth installation and tool readiness.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), installation manuals, and EHS requirements within cleanroom environments.
Provide technical support during tool start-up, upgrades, and retrofits.
Document installation activities, service reports, and issue resolutions accurately.
Coordinate with internal engineering teams and overseas principals when required.
Support regional or overseas deployment based on project requirements.
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields.
Hands-on knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing tools is an advantage (e.g. etch, deposition, lithography, CMP, metrology).
Basic understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and vacuum systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Comfortable working in cleanroom environments and fab safety protocols.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
