Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

Conduct commissioning, configuration, upgrades, repairs, and installations of CCTV and related systems at customer sites, including challenging oil and gas environments. Provide remote support, troubleshoot IP networks, deliver client training, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, system configuration, upgrades, repairs, and installations at customer sites, including offshore and onshore oil and gas platforms.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly, including hardware malfunctions, software errors, and network connectivity problems.
• Troubleshoot and configure IP network devices to ensure system functionality.
• Provide remote technical support to customers using online tools.
• Communicate effectively with customers of varying technical expertise to deliver clear solutions.
• Conduct system maintenance training courses for clients to enhance their operational knowledge.
• Actively participate in aftermarket service by providing solutions and feedback to product line managers regarding CCTV products.
• Report non-conformance issues and develop best practices to improve service delivery.
• Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients, including direct communication with shipowners on-site.
• Independently handle commissioning, service, and upgrade tasks on vessels and rigs.
• Perform in-house repairs on all related CCTV and company products.
• Carry equipment and tools safely while ascending or descending vessels and rigs in compliance with safety requirements.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with CCTV systems.
• Knowledge of IP networking, including configuration, troubleshooting, and system operation.
• Experience supporting international customers and willingness to travel globally.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and collaborate across teams.
• Good presentation, documentation, and report-writing skills.
