Job Description

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating and cryogenic equipment, ensuring full compliance with sitespecific safety and quality requirements.
  • Supervise and guide contractor teams, customer personnel, and internal field engineers during service activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical, thermodynamic, and systemlevel issues, developing corrective action plans and implementing solutions independently.
  • Manage onsite planning, including manpower allocation, material coordination, documentation, method statements, and toolbox briefings.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface to customers, clarifying expectations and advising on equipment care, spare parts, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Conduct equipment investigations, performance checks, and operational reviews to identify technical improvements and minimize downtime.
  • Prepare complete and timely service reports, technical documentation, and feedback to internal engineering and aftermarket teams.
  • Support the sale of parts, upgrades, and additional service scopes by sharing insights from field assignments.

The Successful Applicant


A Successful Field Service Engineer (Cryogenic) Should Have

  • At least 8 years of handson experience with turbomachinery, cryogenic systems, or other precision rotating equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills with solid understanding of thermodynamics, system behavior, and OEMlevel equipment principles.
  • Calm, adaptable, and able to navigate pressured environments, diverse site cultures, and varying safety frameworks.
  • Capable of leading multidisciplinary crews while independently making technical decisions onsite.
  • Proficient in reading drawings, schematics, manuals, and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive customer relationships.
  • Competent with standard software tools (e.g., MS Office), with the discipline to produce clear reports and field records.
  • Eligible and willing to travel extensively and work internationally.
