Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our customers with new equipment installation, system troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. You will be working in cleanroom environments, collaborating with both customers and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth equipment operation and high customer satisfaction.

This role requires hands-on technical work, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support installation, startup, and qualification of new sputtering and deposition equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Work closely with customers, project engineers, and global technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare service reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all tasks follow cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support when needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required during critical project phases.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Semiconductor, or related fields).
  • Hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting semiconductor equipment installation or field service is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, thin‑film deposition, or sputtering equipment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Able to travel occasionally for training or customer support (if required).
