Role Overview - Field Sales Manager (Hunter)
We are seeking a driven Field Sales Hunter to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Singapore market. This individual contributor role focuses on proactive client acquisition, relationship building, and revenue growth across Air, Ocean, and Contract Logistics solutions, while supporting existing customer retention activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Singapore market through field sales, cold calling, and customer outreach
- Build, expand, and maintain a strong client network to drive sustainable revenue growth
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers to support retention and ongoing relationship management
- Monitor market trends and pricing movements for Air and Ocean freight, and collaborate closely with the Procurement and Pricing teams on RFQs and tenders
- Prepare sales presentations, business proposals, and quotations, and follow up on customer enquiries to drive deal closure
- Support day-to-day sales activities to grow external business across logistics solutions
- Track, analyse, and report sales performance and pipeline updates to management during regular internal meetings
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in a global logistics or freight forwarding company
- Proven ability to perform field sales as an individual contributor, with strong prospecting and hunting capabilities
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Air Express, Contract Logistics, or Ocean Freight
- Comfortable with cold calling, lead generation, and new customer acquisition
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets, including mid- to large-scale business wins
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about new business development
- Established network across any industry verticals is an added advantage
- Knowledge of freight forwarding operations and billing processes is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
