Role Overview
We're looking for a technically sharp FAE to be the go-to bridge between customers and internal engineering and sales teams. You'll drive successful deployment of digital imaging solutions — spanning infrared, low-light visible, and ultraviolet — across industrial inspection, defense, and surveillance markets.
What You'll Do
- Own pre- and post-sales technical support for imaging cameras, sensors, and modules (including RMA management)
- Partner with sales to qualify customer requirements and propose the right imaging solutions
- Deliver product demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations
- Support customers through system integration, calibration, and performance optimisation
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues — image quality, thermal calibration, signal processing
- Interpret thermal imaging data and advise customers on measurement best practices
- Produce application notes, user guides, and training materials
- Conduct on-site visits for installation, commissioning, and technical support
- Feed customer insights and field findings back to R&D
- Support field testing, validation, and benchmarking of new imaging products
What You Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3+ years in a FAE or technical support role
- Hands-on experience with digital imaging systems — infrared, low-light visible, and/or UV preferred
- Solid grasp of thermography principles, heat transfer, and radiometric measurement
- Familiarity with image processing and analysis tools
- Hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Clear, confident communicator with a customer-first approach
- Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of optics, lenses, and spectral behaviour across IR, visible, and UV Wavelengths
- Familiarity with thermography standards and applications (predictive maintenance, surveillance, ADAS)
