European semiconductor group's regional office is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (imaging: IR, low-light, UV) to support customers and collaborate with sales and engineering teams to deploy and optimize imaging solutions across APAC for inspection, defense and surveillance.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support including basic RMA coordination
- Work with the sales team to understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solutions
- Support product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and technical presentations
- Assist with system integration, calibration and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and basic image quality challenges
- Support analysis of thermal imaging data and follow best practice guidelines
- Prepare application notes, user guides and technical documentation
- Assist with on-site installation, commissioning and customer support (as needed)
- Collect customer feedback and share insights with internal engineering teams
- Support product testing, validation and internal evaluations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related field
- Min. 3 years of relevant experience in Field Applications Engineering, technical support or similar roles
- Working knowledge of digital imaging systems (cameras, imaging sensors, optical components) preferably across infrared, visible, UV or low-light applications
- Foundational understanding of thermography, heat transfer, radiometry, spectral characteristics
- Exposure to real-world applications such as inspection, surveillance or industrial automation is advantageous
- Understanding of image processing and analysis familiarity with Python, MATLAB or C++ preferred
- Familiarity with camera interfaces such as GigE Vision, USB or Camera Link is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking and communication skills
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region
- Comprehensive on-the-job training and development will be provided.
Working Details
- Working: 9am - 6pm (Mon - Fri)
- Salary: upto S$4,000/month
- Benefits: 20 days annual leaves, medical benefits, performance bonus
