Key Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers with day-to-day file management for family law matters (contested and uncontested)
- Draft and prepare documents (e.g., letters, affidavits, cause papers, checklists) based on templates and instructions
- Coordinate filings, deadlines, and court dates maintain accurate calendars and task lists
- Liaise with clients professionally and empathetically (phone, email, WhatsApp) and help gather required documents
- Organize and paginate bundles manage evidence and exhibits
- Support hearing and mediation preparation (chronologies, document lists, key issue summaries)
- Coordinate with external parties where needed (courts, opposing counsel, vendors)
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and record-keeping
Requirements
- Prior paralegal/legal executive experience in family law (Singapore experience preferred)
- Strong drafting and written communication skills
- Excellent organization: you can manage multiple matters, deadlines, and shifting priorities
- Calm, empathetic client handling (family matters can be sensitive)
- High attention to detail and a proactive, see it through mindset
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and document management workflows
Nice to have
- Experience with Syariah-related family matters
- Familiarity with Singapore court filing processes and family justice procedures
- Experience preparing bundles and hearing prep materials
