Role Overview

Primary Objective: Maximize line efficiency, minimize downtime, and maintain high product quality while keeping workers safe .

Reports To: Production Manager or Operations Director .

Key Responsibilities

Shift & Production Planning: Execute daily production schedules, assign workers to stations, and adjust to sudden absences or machine breakdowns . [1, 2]
Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA guidelines, proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) . [1, 2]
Quality Control: Track defect rates, review finished goods against specs, and initiate immediate corrective actions when deviations happen . [1, 2]
Team Leadership & Training: Onboard new and temporary operators, cross-train staff, manage performance, and conduct shift huddles . [1, 2]
Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce waste
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum High school diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on manufacturing or supervisory experience.
