Facility Manager

Brief Summary

• Lead facilities operations, compliance, inspections and continuous improvement across a large facility. Provide managerial oversight, support strategic meetings and ensure consistent delivery of contractual and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and systems, identifying improvement opportunities and recommending appropriate actions. Lead and guide the operations team in continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled by the relevant teams. Maintain compliance with statutory and non-statutory licensing requirements. Organise regular operations meetings with relevant stakeholders and address operational issues requiring management attention. Support the Account Director or Account Manager during strategic-level meetings when required. Manage and support audits, key performance indicator reviews and contractual matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. At least 10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five years in a managerial role. Demonstrated experience in facilities management within a large facility. Strong knowledge of building systems, air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation, mechanical and electrical systems, and fire safety management. Practical, hands-on experience in building and mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform effectively under pressure. Strong leadership, planning, organisation and quality management capabilities. High level of initiative, integrity and service orientation. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and resolve operational matters.
