Job Description

Role Overview

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the plant's non-process infrastructure and ensuring compliance with applicable Singapore safety and regulatory standards. The role oversees facility maintenance, contractor coordination, and statutory compliance for building systems and utilities within the biomass power plant. This position works closely with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the site operates safely, reliably, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of facility systems including buildings, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical distribution (non-process), fire protection, and site security systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Maintain facility asset registers, service records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory and safety requirements, including inspections, certifications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Support workplace safety implementation for facility-related works and ensure proper permit-to-work procedures.
  • Manage service contracts, track facility-related expenditures, and prepare periodic facility and compliance reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve facility reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance or infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with Singapore safety and building regulations.
  • Experience supervising contractors and service vendors.

Preferred

  • Experience in power plant, waste-to-energy, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations and regulatory inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements under agencies such as the Building and Construction Authority, Singapore Civil Defence Force, and Ministry of Manpower.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS).
  • Workplace safety (WSH) certifications or related safety training.
