Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will serve as the technical lead for the Club's physical assets and infrastructure. This role requires a seasoned professional with a robust Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background to oversee complex maintenance operations and drive a heavy pipeline of upcoming renovation and A&A (Addition & Alteration) projects. You will be responsible for translating the General Committee's vision into technical reality while ensuring seamless club operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Strategic Planning
- Lead Upcoming Renovations: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of major renovation projects, from conceptualization and tender preparation to site supervision and final handover.
- M&E Oversight: Leverage deep technical knowledge to audit, upgrade, and maintain complex M&E systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection).
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison for the General Committee provide regular progress reports, manage expectations regarding timelines/budgets, and present technical solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Budgetary Control: Forecast and manage both CAPEX and OPEX budgets, ensuring high-quality project delivery without cost overruns.
2. Facilities & Maintenance Excellence
- Preventive Maintenance: Implement a rigorous maintenance schedule for all club facilities, including the swimming pool and specialized recreational areas, ensuring compliance with NEA/PUB guidelines.
- Contractor Management: Supervise appointed vendors and consultants, conducting regular performance reviews to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Operational Continuity: Plan and execute maintenance works with a member-first mindset, ensuring minimal disruption to club activities.
3. Fire Safety & WSH Compliance
- Safety Leadership: Serve as the designated Fire Safety Manager (FSM) maintain the Fire Emergency Plan (FEP) and lead the Fire Safety Committee.
- Regulatory Liaison: Coordinate directly with the SCDF, MOM, and other relevant authorities to ensure the Club remains 100% compliant with the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
Job Requirements
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Facilities Management.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Candidates from the Hospitality or Private Club sectors would be advantages.
- Technical Mastery: Proven track record of managing large-scale M&E projects and A&A works.
- Certifications: Must be a Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM).
- Soft Skills: . Exceptional Follow-up: A disciplined approach to project tracking and closing out snag lists.
- Communication: Ability to navigate committee politics and present effectively to General Committee.
