Facilities / Energy Engineer (SCEM)

Job Description

• Prepare project drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for facilities construction, renovation, and upgrading projects.

• Develop and apply engineering standards and design criteria for plant layouts, space planning, and facilities improvements.

• Supervise contractors and vendors for M&E projects and maintenance works, ensuring compliance with company requirements.

• Lead maintenance technicians in daily equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown investigation, and repairs.

• Conduct equipment failure investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize operational downtime.

• Coordinate with internal departments to maintain electrical systems, HVAC, chillers, air compressors, and utilities.

• Support Process and Project Engineers by providing facilities, utilities, and technical support for operations.

• Manage outsourced service contracts, budgets, and documentation.

• Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and local authorities for installations or system relocations.

• Support HSE initiatives and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Energy Management

• Ensure deployment and operation of the Energy Management System (EMS).

• Monitor, report, and present energy performance indicators and sustainability initiatives on a monthly basis.

• Develop and implement energy policies and energy efficiency programmes.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance energy performance and utilities efficiency.

• Participate in internal energy audits and energy management reviews.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related disciplines.

• Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification is mandatory.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility equipment and maintenance management.

• Hands-on experience with M&E systems and plant utilities is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
