Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Food and Beverage Operations Executive lead the compliance of service, food hygiene, safety and other standards amongst the team on each shift. He / She assists in managing front-of-house operations and customer services to optimise outlet performance. He / She guides the staff in management of customers queries, and plans staff scheduling based on operational needs. He monitors food and beverage services to ensure excellence customer service, and is expected to suggest areas for continuous improvement within the team. Meticulous and resourceful, he / she should have mental resilience to operate in high pressure environment, with the diplomacy to defuse anger and to resolve problems. He is able to work in a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, and is capable of interacting with colleagues and customers from a diverse background.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist manager in managing Banquet department's operations and administration
  2. Ensure that all service procedures are carried out to the standards required
  3. Ensure that all function rooms are set-up in accordance to banquet event order requirement
  4. Ensure cleanliness of function rooms and banquet areas at all times
  5. Assist manager in planning for the operational budgets, and is expected to design continuous improvement activities for banquet department
  6. Support manager in supervising casual labour to ensure service standards and grooming are maintained according to policy
  7. Support manager in control staffing and casual labour cost, ensuring that work hours deployed staff is properly utilized
  8. Take personal responsibility for the service experience of all guests in the banquet by actively checking on their satisfaction
  9. Communicate with respective Sales team to fully understand guests requirements
  10. Be proactive towards guests, assisting them with any reasonable requests, and training all team members to anticipate guests needs
  11. Take on additional roles and tasks from time to time as per operations requirements
  12. Any other duties/projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
  13. Others:
  • Follow the workplace safety and health system, safe work procedures or safety rules implemented at the workplace.
  • Not engage in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger yourself or others working around you.
  • Use personal protective equipment provided to you to ensure your safety while working. You must not tamper with or misuse the equipment.

Requirements:

  • GCE O level certificate /Specialist certification in culinary arts with 2-3 years of relevant experience with Food and Hygiene Certification
  • Able to do shift work and work on weekends & Eve & Public Holidays
  • Ability to multitask and have good time management skills
  • Strong leadership qualities to lead and motivate team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable and good team player
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent Service Orientation
