Position: Restaurant Operations Manager

Location: Shanghai Ramen & Xiao Long Bao

Shanghai Ramen & Xiao Long Bao is a premium dining destination dedicated to delivering the authentic taste of traditional Shanghainese cuisine with a modern flair. Our menu is centered around hand-pulled ramen and expertly crafted xiao long bao, reflecting the rich culinary heritage of Shanghai.

We are currently seeking an exceptionally qualified and highly disciplined Restaurant Operations Manager to join our leadership team.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, staff performance, and customer satisfaction. This role requires outstanding leadership, a meticulous attention to detail, and a relentless drive for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead all aspects of restaurant operations, including front and back of house

. Enforce strict quality control and hygiene protocols

. Recruit, train, and develop staff to consistently exceed performance benchmarks

. Monitor inventory, costs, and vendor relationships to ensure operational efficiency

. Resolve customer issues with professionalism and poise under pressure

. Collaborate with the executive team on menu development and strategic initiatives

Requirements

. Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in high-end restaurant operations

. Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)

. Deep understanding of Shanghainese or broader Chinese cuisine

. Demonstrated ability to manage large teams with authority and empathy

. Strong financial and analytical acumen

. Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required

. No tolerance for mediocrity - only candidates who consistently strive for excellence will be considered
