Chapter One is a cozy and modern caf-lounge offering a relaxed dining experience with a focus on brunch-style dishes, artisanal coffee, and fresh, seasonal ingredients. We're currently looking for a creative and organized Chef to lead our kitchen team and help elevate our brunch offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plate high-quality brunch dishes such as eggs benedict, pancakes, avocado toast, gourmet sandwiches, grain bowls, pasta etc.
- Design and update brunch menus with seasonal ingredients and trending caf concepts.
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, efficiency, and food safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Monitor inventory and control food costs, placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with management on menu development, specials, and customer feedback.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices in compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) standard
Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience as a Chef or Cook in a caf, brunch-focused restaurant, or similar.
- A passion for brunch food, creativity in plating and recipe development.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety procedures.
- Ability to multitask and lead a small kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary training or certification is an asset
- Must fulfil all mandatory requirements set by the Singapore Government (e.g., WSQ Food Safety certification as required by the Singapore Food Agency).
