Job Responsibilities

Bar Knowledge & Menu Mastery

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, sauces, portion sizes, garnishes, presentation, and prices.
  • Be familiar with all liquor brands, beers, wines, champagnes, and non-alcoholic beverages offered.
  • Understand designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
  • Stay updated on daily specials, out-of-stock items, bar layout, table setups, and hours of operation.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily arrivals/departures, VIPs, in-house group activities, and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries.

Guest Service & Interaction

  • Attend line-ups and review daily business information.
  • Anticipate, acknowledge, and respond promptly to guest requests.
  • Communicate closely with Captains, Service Attendants, and other staff to ensure quality service.
  • Upsell beverages and menu items to enhance guest experience.
  • Conduct guided beverage service and special event preparation as required.
  • Collect and analyze guest preferences and comment cards to improve service.

Operational & Equipment Management

  • Prepare workstations and pantries according to departmental standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of supplies and equipment.
  • Replenish par levels and complete requisitions for shortages or anticipated business needs.
  • Ensure correct maintenance and usage of bar equipment.
  • Transport linens, prepare special items for events, and perform side duties in accordance with departmental procedures.

Teamwork & Training

  • Attend and contribute in all designated meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist other bartenders and service attendants whenever possible.
  • Work cooperatively to maximize productivity and maintain employee morale.
  • Report issues, maintenance needs, and guest feedback to Manager on Duty.

Administrative & Compliance

  • Input items accurately into Info Genesis system.
  • Answer outlet telephones professionally within 3 rings, using correct salutations and etiquette.
  • Complete closing duties before signing out.
  • Follow departmental policies, service procedures, and training/certification processes.
