We provide a comprehensive suite of financial services, including wealth management, asset management, and brokerage. Our platform is a key partner for a growing number of External Asset Managers (EAMs) and Family Offices. We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial professional to lead and expand our EAM and Family Office business in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & AUM Growth:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the EAM and Family Office business, aligning with the bank's footprint expansion in Singapore.
- Identify and cultivate a robust pipeline of prospective EAMs and Family Office clients, focusing on Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) individuals in Asia.
- Lead and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations to prospective clients, with the ultimate goal of increasing Assets Under Management (AUM) and revenue.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Proactively engage and build long-lasting, trusted relationships with EAMs and UHNW clients.
- Serve as a primary point of contact, strengthening partnerships by offering comprehensive solutions including Asset Allocation, Investment Advisory, Family Governance, Estate and Tax Planning, Legacy Planning, Wealth Structuring, and Alternative Investments.
- Team Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and drive the overall strategy for the team, establishing a strong and cohesive EAM/Family Office unit in Singapore.
- Serve as a bridge to link overseas capital markets with local clients and opportunities.
- Champion an entrepreneurial spirit within the team, fostering a culture of high performance and strategic growth.
- Compliance, Risk Management & Operations:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Operations, Risk) and external parties to ensure the EAM business operates efficiently and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate product maintenance, ongoing monitoring, and risk management activities.
- Ensure all regulatory reporting is completed accurately and submitted as required by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Requirements:
- Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a portfolio management or buy-side role, with a proven track record of managing assets and growing a client base.
- Strong understanding of the EAM landscape and UHNW client segment in Asia.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted and long-lasting client relationships.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and collaboration with internal teams.
- Strong analytical abilities to develop differentiated thought-leadership content and moderate client events.
- Passionate about working in a growing wealth management platform and a strong motivation to drive and develop strategies for the Global Family Office and EAM sector.
- Regulatory & Licensing:
- Ideal candidates are currently, or have been, a Fund Management licensed representative in Singapore.
- Must be able to fulfill all licensing requirements as a representative under the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), including competency requirements outlined in MAS Notice SFA 04-N22.
- Relevant experience and qualifications must align with the guidelines on licensing and conduct of business for fund management companies, specifically MAS Guideline SFA 04-G05.
- A strong commitment to upholding a robust risk and compliance culture is essential.
