Responsibilities
- Oversee and take full ownership of the end-to-end LCL export operations, including booking coordination, container consolidation, documentation preparation, customs clearance, and resolution of operational exceptions, ensuring efficiency and adherence to Singapore Customs regulations and international trade practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operational workflows, control costs, and enhance service standards, while ensuring the team follows established SOPs to achieve timely and high-quality execution.
- Analyze the Singapore LCL market landscape, competitor activities, and customer requirements to develop and implement route expansion and business growth strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local stakeholders such as freight forwarders, warehouses, and transport providers to strengthen the operational network.
- Respond to client and partner enquiries, design competitive and customized logistics solutions, and collaborate closely with sales and cross-functional teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Proactively manage key accounts, address service issues, and resolve complaints or unforeseen operational challenges effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the operations team, including recruitment, training, performance monitoring, and KPI evaluation to enhance team capability and productivity.
- Ensure strict compliance with Singapore Customs requirements, international trade regulations, and internal governance standards, while identifying and mitigating operational risks to safeguard service quality.
Requirements
- Min. Degree or higher qualification.
- Min. 5 years of experience in LCL export operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of LCL operational procedures and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
- Strong commercial awareness, ability to navigate cross-cultural communication, resilience under pressure, and willingness to conduct local market visits and partner engagements.
