We are representing a leading European corporate and investment bank with a long-standing global franchise and strong balance sheet, known for its deep expertise in export finance, structured trade, and cross-border financing solutions. The bank works closely with multinational corporates, ECAs, DFIs, and agency lenders, with Asia Pacific as a key strategic growth region.
As part of its continued expansion, the bank is looking to hire an Export Finance Specialist at Associate or Associate Director level to join its Corporates & Export Finance Asia Pacific team based in Singapore.
The Role
You will support and execute complex export finance and structured finance transactions across Asia Pacific, working closely with relationship managers, product partners, risk teams, and global stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Origination, structuring, and execution of ECA / DFI / agency-covered transactions for core and target clients
- Supporting client pitches, negotiations, and transaction execution in coordination with regional and head office teams
- Preparing and presenting credit applications in line with internal credit, ESG, compliance, and risk frameworks
- Managing transactions end-to-end, including existing portfolio deals
- Building and maintaining relationships with exporters, ECAs, partner banks, and key market participants across Asia Pacific
- Participating in marketing activities, industry events, and strategic initiatives for the Export Finance business
- Contributing to business targets, pipeline reporting, and ad-hoc strategic projects
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent qualification
- 35+ years of relevant experience in Export Finance, Structured Finance, Project Finance, or related areas
- Strong understanding of credit evaluation, risk management, and transaction execution
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with a commercial and client-oriented mindset
- English and Mandarin proficiency required for cross-border negotiations
- Willingness to travel within Asia Pacific and familiarity with emerging markets
- Structured, self-driven, and team-oriented professional with strong intercultural competence
