Export Documentation Executive
Requirements:
Job Scope
- To prepare, check and negotiate with bank all types of Export Documents - LC, CAD, DP, TT documents.
- Preparation/Checking of documents include: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Switch Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Quality Certificate, Beneficiary Certificate, Demurrage Free Certificate, Fumigation Certificate, etc.
- To liaise with Forwarders/Shipping line to surrender the first leg BL and to arrange for Switch BL. All necessary contents for Switch BL should be arranged by this profile.
- To prepare Clean documents as stipulated by Letter of Credits (LC) from customers, free of Discrepancies.
- Timely negotiation of documents to the bank is critical and an important Key Result Area (KRA) for this profile.
- To be able to handle about 50-80 export documents per Month.
- To liaise with all internal and external people to communicate the status of documentation on a daily basis in the form of a report.
- To be meticulous and accurate in documentation.
- To raise alert & escalate any issues that occur in documentation and to seek immediate solution.
- To be proactive and self initiative throughout at work
- Able to work independently and provide solutions for export documentation issues, if any.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of all terms and conditions of Letters of Credit
- Thorough knowledge of UCP rules, INCOTERMS and banking regulations
- To possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills as the candidate has to deal with host of service providers such as banks, forwarders, shipping lines and internal support people.
- Proficient in MS Office and a good computer literate
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in International Trade and Documentation or equivalent
Experience
- Min 5 of Export Documentation experience
