We are seeking a dedicated Research Executive to join the Centre for Pedagogical Research & Learning (PeRL) team. You will be responsible for driving research and analytics to support the school's mission of fostering evidence-backed teaching and learning practices. This role involves contributing to the strategic planning of key research projects and pedagogical innovation through data-driven insights and cross-departmental collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Data Analysis
- Conduct literature reviews to inform school-based research and innovation projects.
- Collect, analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from surveys, focus groups, dialogues and classroom observations to generate actionable insights.
- Develop visuals, dashboards and reports that translate research findings into strategic recommendations for school improvement.
Professional Learning
- Present and communicate research findings to various stakeholders.
- Provide logistical and content support for PeRL's professional learning events.
- Coordinate the publication and sharing of research findings in print, digital and presentation formats.
- Provide research support by building teachers capacity in research literacy through consultation, workshops and co-created resources that support practitioner inquiry.
- Collaborate with other departments to advance learning and innovation in alignment with the school's evolving needs and strategic direction.
Information Management
- Maintain project documentation, submissions and records of ongoing research projects.
- Manage PeRL's research databases, archives, inventories and resource repositories to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Support the digitization of research processes to enhance data accuracy, streamline access and promote collaboration among departments.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Statistics, or related fields of study.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in research, data analysis or education-related work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic statistical or data analysis tools (eg. SPSS Statistics, Google Sheets).
- Strong analytical, documentation and organizational skills with familiarity in research methodologies.
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
