Pergas, the Singapore Islamic Scholars & Religious Teachers Association, is a dedicated Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) focused on empowering the Islamic education sector and enhancing the welfare of Islamic Religious Teachers, also known as Asatizah. Established by a group of esteemed senior religious leaders, Pergas works to elevate the credibility and competency of Scholars (Ulama) and Asatizah. Over the years, it has adapted to meet the evolving needs of the Malay/Muslim community and the changing socio-religious landscape in Singapore. Pergas supports Asatizah in playing multifaceted roles beyond traditional settings, such as serving as educators, socio-religious scholars, administrators, curriculum developers, researchers, and professionals across diverse industries.
General Purpose of Position
The Executive Officer, ARS provides support in managing the Learning Management System (LMS) and support the coordination of training and professional development programmes. The role involves providing general administrative, logistical and communication support to ensure the effective delivery of these programmes and initiatives.
Main Duties
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of CPE training programmes, both physical and remote
- Administer CPE training operations including registration, enrolment, learning material uploads to the LMS and support for online, physical, blended and self-paced learning programmes, as well as assistance in executing related marketing activities
- Manage and support the dedicated CPE Learning Management System including system administration and related CPE administrative functions
- Manage enquiries, walk-ins and user support related to the ILM Portal including support Asatizah communication and engagement initiatives on the platform
- Support the recording, tracking and updating of CPE credits and related databases
- Provide support for all other administrative, logistical, marketing, and communications functions of the Secretariat
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of Islamic Studies
- At least 1 year of relevant / related working experience
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Familiar with the expectations of a Volunteer Welfare Organisation
- Asatizah with ARS Tier 1
