WHO WE ARE

Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) formerly known as Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) is the official association for the textile and fashion industry in Singapore. Embracing a transformative vision, SFC aspires to become a Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible Fashion.

With a focus on four key pillars Sustainability, Innovation & Technology, Internationalisation, and Retail, SFC works closely with diverse partners across the value chain to offer thought leadership, extensive networks, and resources to drive impactful change throughout the ecosystem.

DORS, the retail showcase located at level one of Design Orchard and situated in the centre of Orchard Road, provides a physical retail space for new and emerging designers, at the renowned shopping belt of Singapore. It has the largest collection of locally based designer brands in Singapore.

TCS, offers creative co-working and event space housed on level 2 and rooftop of Design Orchard.

Career Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Executive to support two key portfolios within the Innovation & Technology and Industry Development teams at the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC).

This role offers hands-on exposure to the planning and execution of innovation programmes, startup ecosystem initiatives, and professional development efforts that uplift Singapore's fashion and lifestyle sector. You will play an active role in supporting startup growth, technology adoption, and workforce upskilling, helping to shape a vibrant, future-ready fashion ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Functional:

Innovation & Technology

  • Support the planning and execution of The Bridge Fashion Innovator (TBFI) programmes, including IP commercialisation initiatives, accelerators, scale-up programmes, and open innovation challenges
  • Assist in organising innovation-related events, workshops, demo days, and ecosystem engagements, including logistics, outreach, and stakeholder coordination
  • Conduct market research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and key players across fashion-tech, sustainability, AI, and digital transformation
  • Support startup and partner engagement, including coordination with mentors, corporates, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders
  • Assist in developing programme materials, reports, impact tracking frameworks, and marketing content
  • Provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth programme delivery

Professional Development & Industry Development

  • Assist in business development efforts, including outreach to brands, enterprises, training providers, and ecosystem partners
  • Conduct research and curate content for new courses, masterclasses, and capability development initiatives
  • Support grant administration processes, including documentation, tracking, reporting, and compliance
  • Organise industry roundtables, working groups, and strategic engagements to identify capability gaps and opportunities within the sector
  • Assist in marketing and communications efforts, including development of collaterals, newsletters, and outreach campaigns

  • Engaging and coordinating effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders to support programmes to build ecosystem relationships.

Project & Programme Management

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing programmes and events with rigour and follow-through.

Research & Analytical Thinking

  • Gathering and synthesising information to support evidence-based programme planning and industry development.
  • Research and curate content for new courses, masterclasses, and capability development initiatives

Communication & Content Development

  • Producing clear, professional content and communications that support programme delivery and SFC's outreach objectives.

Innovation & Entrepreneurial Mindset

  • Bringing curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for the startup and innovation ecosystem to all aspects of the role.

Adaptability & Initiative

  • Operating proactively and flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.

Administrative & Operational Excellence

  • Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all administrative and operational tasks.

Industry & Ecosystem Awareness

  • Developing and applying an informed understanding of Singapore's fashion, retail, and sustainability landscape.

Qualifications needed

  • Open to fresh graduates from all disciplines with a strong interest in fashion, innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, and industry transformation
  • Demonstrated involvement in co-curricular activities, competitions, student organisations, or projects related to innovation, entrepreneurship, fashion, or industry development
  • Prior internship or project experience in a trade association, startup ecosystem, accelerator, or events environment is an advantage
