Proactively attending to resolve vessel's IT operational issues, as well as contributing and sharing your technical expertise on broader vessel IT projects.
Communicate with service providers (VSAT, IT, Cybersecurity) and schedule maintenance to ensure all Vessel IT equipment and services and satellite communications are stable and available in accordance with business continuity.
Track vessel inventory (including software/ licenses) and manage spare inventory
Working together with HSEQ team to update cybersecurity methods and policies.
Purchasing, installing, testing, maintaining, and providing support for all on-board hardware and applications.
Building and maintaining the databases for the fleet, ensuring that all relevant documentation and system logs are updated and remain current in content.
JobRequirement
Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical or Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent
Networking skills and working knowledge with firewall and managed switch configuration.
Experience in Windows Server Administration, VMWARE and Virtualization implementation.
Logical thinker with a strong analytical background and good attention to detail while having strong focus on delivering quality and meeting deadlines
Excellent problem-solving skills together with the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and judgment.
Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new technologies, especially AI applications
Clear, precise, and confident in verbal and written communication to support credibility and position of expertise
Practical experience and working knowledge of vessel IT application management, database management and Cybersecurity practices.
