About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Executive to join our Domestic & Bulk Payment team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily payment operations activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing across cheque clearing, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, and related payment services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and operational teams to maintain operational efficiency, support system enhancements, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and service delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy during cheque verification processing with zero tolerance for errors
  • Facilitate and ensure adherence to cut-off times for cheque verification, cheque returns, and GIRO returns processing in a timely manner
  • Process overseas SGD cheques and Demand Drafts from RHB Group and branches, from clearing to crediting of funds into accounts
  • Perform reconciliation of cheques and GIRO transactions, including investigation and resolution of reconciliation breaks
  • Participate in payment-related projects, system enhancements, and industry testing activities
  • Liaise with stakeholders, submit requests, and execute test cases as part of project and testing initiatives
  • Compile operational statistics and management reports accurately and promptly
  • Proactively escalate operational issues to the Unit Head in a timely manner
  • Support cross-training initiatives to ensure adequate backup coverage within the team
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service standards

What We're Looking For

  • Preferably 1–3 years of banking experience
  • Prior experience in payment operations preferred, with knowledge of cheque clearing, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, and relevant systems
  • Strong teamwork skills, dependable, and meticulous in execution
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and effectively prioritise multiple tasks
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy standards
