Job Description
We are seeking an Executive, Client Accounting to join a professional services team providing accounting and financial reporting services to corporate entities, trusts and investment-holding structures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements and supporting tax compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for a portfolio of corporate and trust entities, ensuring all deliverables are completed within stipulated deadlines.
- Perform full-set bookkeeping, including bank reconciliations, securities balance reconciliations and recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules and working papers for year-end reporting.
- Perform year-end adjustments, including foreign currency revaluation and fair value adjustments for investments.
- Review supporting documents and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure accounting entries are properly substantiated.
- Liaise with internal administrators, external auditors and tax agents to obtain and provide information required for statutory reporting and compliance.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), including XBRL submissions where applicable.
- Assist with corporate tax computations and preparation of Form C-S for eligible Singapore companies.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records to support audit and statutory requirements.
- Monitor key compliance deadlines, including Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), annual general meetings (AGMs), corporate tax filings and applicable automatic exchange of information (AEOI) reporting.
- Undertake other accounting and administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in full-set bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.
- Good knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Experience handling investment-holding companies, listed securities, private investments or family office structures will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with FRS 109 (Financial Instruments) and FRS 107 (Financial Instruments: Disclosures) will be an advantage.
- Experience in preparing corporate tax computations and Form C-S will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel familiarity with accounting systems such as Viewpoint will be advantageous.
- Strong numerical, analytical and reconciliation skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while meeting statutory deadlines.
- Relevant professional accounting qualifications, or a willingness to pursue one, will be an advantage. Candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered.
