Job Description

Job Title: Executive, Centre for Nurturing Computing Excellence (CeNCE)

Posting Start Date: 14/04/2026

Job Purpose

The Executive (Administration & Operations) provides administrative, procurement, finance, and stakeholder coordination support for the Centre for Nurturing Computing Excellence (CeNCE). The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations and timely coordination of courses, contests, and centre activities, including support for major events which may involve occasional weekend duties (time-off claimable in accordance with policy).

Responsibilities

  • Manage, process, and track CeNCE expenses/claims, ensuring timely submission and proper supporting documentation.
  • Source quotations and raise Purchase Orders (POs) in line with procurement procedures.
  • Send email announcements and reminders to school teachers for courses, programmes, and competitions/contests.
  • Handle general enquiries and provide administrative support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue e-certificates for programmes/activities/participants.
  • Support hiring/engagement processes (e.g., part-time students and volunteers), including coordination and paperwork.
  • Liaise with donors/sponsors and support related communications and coordination activities.
  • Liaise with MOE on administrative matters and support required coordination.
  • Provide support during selected key Centre events that may fall on weekends (mostly Saturdays), e.g., NOI Preliminary (Feb), NOI Final (Mar), NOI Celebration (May), CeNCE Annual Celebration (Friday night of recess week, Semester 1), and ICPC/ICO/ICAIC hosting.

Requirements

  • Degree in Event Management or a related discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Hospitality, Operations/Administration).
  • No prior experience required; training will be provided.
  • Good coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (for liaising with teachers, partners, and stakeholders).
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle documentation accurately (e.g., expense tracking, records, certificates).
  • Comfortable with basic procurement/admin processes (e.g., sourcing quotations and raising POs); experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Willing to support the Centre key events that may fall on weekends (mostly Saturdays), with time-off provided in accordance with policy.
