Job Summary
Lead and execute civil and structural engineering design and assessments for road, taxiway, runway, and pavement projects, ensuring compliance with statutory standards and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design road geometry and conduct traffic assessments to optimize infrastructure functionality and safety
- Perform civil and structural design, analysis, and assessment for roads, taxiways, runways, and pavements to meet project specifications
- Apply knowledge of foundation, structures, excavation, earth retaining structures, slopes, drains, sewers, bridges, and buildings to develop comprehensive engineering solutions
- Plan, design, supervise, and coordinate civil engineering and infrastructure site works to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met
- Ensure all engineering designs and site works comply with relevant statutory standards, regulations, and Codes of Practice
- Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to facilitate smooth project execution
- Assist the Team Leader in maintaining high-quality standards in design and supervision through review and feedback
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff to develop their technical skills and ensure adherence to project requirements
- Utilize design software such as Tekla, Civil 3D, Open Road, FAARFIELD, APSDS, Sidra, Vissim, and SWMM to produce accurate engineering models and reports
- Manage submissions to authorities and coordinate project management activities for civil and infrastructure engineering projects in Singapore
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Master in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognized by PEB
- Experience of 3 to 5 years in design for road and airport engineering projects
- Familiarity with LTA, PUB, NParks, FAA, ICAO standards, and Eurocodes for structural and geotechnical design
- Knowledge of C&S designs and Python programming is advantageous
