We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our team at Harvest Consulting Engineers LLP (HCE). In this role, you will assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to innovative solutions in building and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of design documents, specifications, and reports for civil engineering projects
- Support senior engineers in conducting site assessments and feasibility studies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment with safety and environmental standards
- Utilize engineering software for drafting and modeling, contributing to the development of project plans
- Participate in project meetings and presentations, providing updates on assigned tasks
- Conduct research on materials and methods to recommend improvements in project execution
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with civil engineering design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Some experience with project management tools
- Knowledge of digitalisation in built environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding in BIM, AutoCAD and other drafting software
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of structural analysis and design principles
