Executive (Business Development)

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Manager for Business Development to drive growth and expand our client base in the logistics and supply chain sector. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet customer needs primarily in the distribution, warehousing and emerging markets spaces.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and retain new business relationships to expand client base and revenue
• Secure new accounts through targeted canvassing and strategic outreach
• Manage B2B sales accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding and addressing client needs
• Maintain ongoing business relationships to enhance customer retention and loyalty
• Provide timely support, information, and guidance to customers to resolve shipping issues and prevent costs or damages
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions in distribution, warehousing, and emerging markets

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in business development or sales within the logistics or freight industry
• Deep understanding of logistics services including air/sea freight, trucking, warehousing, and customs clearance
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to influence and engage clients
• Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships through effective interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a strong results-oriented mindset to achieve business targets
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office for efficient account management
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
