About The Role

The Executive / Assistant Manager – Admissions & Outreach is the face of GIBS B School for prospective students and external partners. This role drives student enrollment through proactive outreach, manages the end-to-end admission lifecycle, and builds relationships with educational institutions and corporates to strengthen the institution's brand footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Admissions Management (Conversion Focus)

Lead Management: Own the entire funnel from inquiry generation to final admission. Respond to leads via phone, email, and walk-ins within the defined Turnaround Time (TAT).

Counselling: Advise prospective students and parents on program curriculum (PGDM, MBA, BBA, etc.), eligibility criteria, fee structure, placement records, and scholarship opportunities.

Application Processing: Oversee the application process, including document verification, entrance exam score validation (CAT/MAT/CMAT/KMAT/PGCET), and interview scheduling.

Conversion Strategy: Follow up rigorously with warm and hot leads to maximize conversion rates. Address objections related to fees, location, and placements effectively.

Database Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions in the CRM system. Generate daily and weekly reports on lead status and admission numbers.

  • Outreach & Marketing (Top-of-Funnel Focus)

Institutional Tie-ups: Visit colleges, coaching centers, and schools to build relationships with placement officers and principals for student referrals.

Event Representation: Represent GIBS at education fairs, seminars, and corporate events to generate leads and build brand awareness.

Seminar/Webinar Coordination: Organize and conduct admission seminars, aptitude tests, and workshops in target regions, both online and offline.

Digital Outreach: Collaborate with the digital marketing team to execute social media campaigns and email marketing drives targeting prospective students.

Corporate Outreach: Engage corporates for sponsored candidates for Executive MBA or Management Development Programs, where applicable.

  • Operational & Administrative Support

Interview Coordination: Coordinate with faculty and industry experts for Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

Scholarship Processing: Assist in evaluating scholarship applications and processing waivers in line with policy.

Reporting: Prepare weekly MIS reports on outreach activities, lead source effectiveness, and admission conversion ratios.

Onboarding: Ensure a smooth handover of admitted students to the academic operations team.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.

2–6 years of experience in admissions outreach, student recruitment, or counseling, preferably in the higher education or B-School sector.

Skills & Competencies

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to manage and convert leads in a target-driven environment.

Experience in outreach, events, and institutional networking.

Understanding of the higher education landscape, entrance exams (CAT/MAT/CMAT/KMAT), and accreditation bodies (AICTE/UGC).

Podcasting or hosting experience is an added advantage.

Travel: Frequent travel within the city and neighboring states for outreach activities.

Schedule: Standard work week, with flexibility required during peak admission cycles, including weekends and holidays.

Adaptability: Willingness to travel extensively for outreach and work weekends during peak admission season
