About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Executive, AML Operations to join our team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for executing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) operations, supporting business units in meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring timely and accurate reviews. You will play a key role in safeguarding the bank's integrity by identifying potential risks and providing expert guidance on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) matters.
What You Will Be Doing
- Undertake CDD and KYC operations, ensuring timely periodic submissions for Business Units and advising Relationship Managers (RMs) on issues requiring further action
- Conduct trigger reviews and ad-hoc customer reviews as requested by BRCO or the AML Compliance team
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to due diligence, KYC, and AML aspects, working closely with RMs and BU staff
- Provide support on AML/CFT matters to Business and Support Units, especially in onboarding and ongoing customer monitoring
- Assist BRCO and AML team in identifying process weaknesses or areas for improvement through control testing
- Participate in ad-hoc bank projects or initiatives, offering AML/CFT-related insights
- Ensure timely and accurate provision of information/documents to law enforcement agencies when requested

- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and operational processes
- Experience in CDD, KYC, and customer risk assessments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage
