The Executive, Advocacy Unit, will be part of the team that supports the projects related to child abuse and neglect prevention carried out by the organisation.
Programme/ service development and delivery
Support the team in the various aspects of programme development and implementation, namely:
KidzLive: I Can Protect Myself child sexual abuse prevention programme for preschoolers
Empowering Children with Body Safety Skills teachers training course
Child protection training modules for early childhood educators
Other programmes that the organisation deems necessary to develop
Public education and advocacy initiatives
Synergise and collaborate with sister centres on advocacy and public education initiatives related to the wellbeing of children and youth, as well as parenting
Plan and organise external and internal events, such as the Singapore Children's Society Lecture and ForUM
Organisational Service Strategy: CANP
Contribute towards organisation-wide initiatives under the Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention service strategy, including strategy development, implementation and review
Evaluation and monitoring
Support in establishing outcome measures, indicators, and communications KPIs to track impact and effectiveness of projects
Support with leveraging data, research insights, and feedback loops to strengthen service models
Partnerships and engagement
Contribute to partnerships and stakeholder engagement initiatives
Others
Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Advocacy Unit
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Social Sciences, Early Childhood, Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or related disciplines.
WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Passion in driving changes to enhance the well-being of children and youth
Possesses strong analytical skills, writing skills and fundamental research skills
Possess strong skills in translating research findings into public education content that is engaging and accessible
Keen curiosity and interest in unearthing and plugging the gaps that exist in policies, systems and practice
Experience in facilitating workshops and consultations with children and adults, and/ or policy work is a bonus
Candidates with two to three years experience in the early childhood and/ or child protection system, or comparable experience, will be considered favourably
