Our client, a top-tier systematic trading firm, is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Execution Trader to join their dynamic trading team. This role is critical to the firm's success, focusing on the efficient and risk-aware execution of algorithmic orders across global equities, futures, and options markets. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver with a deep understanding of market microstructure, trading technology, and a passion for optimizing performance in a systematic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Algorithmic Execution Management: Monitor and manage the real-time execution of automated trading strategies, ensuring adherence to risk parameters and performance benchmarks.
- Performance Analysis & TCA: Conduct rigorous post-trade analysis (Transaction Cost Analysis - TCA) to evaluate execution quality, identify slippage, and provide actionable feedback to quantitative researchers and developers for algorithm improvement.
- Market Monitoring & Risk Management: Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and system alerts. Proactively identify and respond to anomalous behavior, market events, or technical issues to mitigate risk.
- System & Workflow Optimization: Work closely with Quantitative Traders and Software Engineers to refine execution algorithms, improve trading tools, and automate processes for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Liaison with Counterparties: Build and maintain strong relationships with sell-side brokers, electronic trading platforms, and exchanges to ensure optimal access to liquidity and market intelligence.
- Operational Excellence: Handle trade allocation, reconciliation, and settlement queries. Ensure all trading activity complies with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience working in a technology role in a trading environment, ideally in a systematic trading setting.
- Knowledge in any asset classes, specially equity and equity derivatives (futures, options) products, their market microstructure across major global venues (e.g., US, EU, APAC).
- Technically strong in Linux, SQL, Python scripting, or any OOP programming languages such as Java/ C++/ C#.
- Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and a data-driven approach to improving execution quality is a plus
- Familiarity with trading systems, order types, and FIX protocol.
- Exceptional ability to remain calm and make swift, rational decisions under pressure in a fast-paced market environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and superb analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with quantitative researchers and engineers.
