We are seeking an experienced and responsible Excavator Trainer to conduct hydraulic excavator operation training and equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and practical skills for safe machine operation.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for training activities. When there are no scheduled training sessions, he will assist with excavator operating duties and other related operational tasks as assigned

Key Responsibilities

Training Responsibilities

Plan, develop and conduct training programmes on hydraulic excavator operation.
Deliver theoretical lessons and practical hands-on demonstrations.
Assess trainees competency and provide constructive feedback to enhance their operating skills.
Ensure training activities comply with relevant safety standards and training requirements.
Maintain accurate training records, attendance and assessment documentation.

Other Operational Responsibilities (When No Training Is Scheduled)

Assist with excavator operating duties at construction sites when required.
Conduct daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance to ensure the excavator is in good working condition.
Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the machine.
Ensure safe machine operation to prevent accidents, injuries and property damage.
Comply with site safety requirements, company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with site supervisors and colleagues on daily operational matters.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Must possess a valid Hydraulic Excavator Operation Certificate issued by BCA Singapore.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in excavator operation.
Prior experience in the construction industry.
Good knowledge of excavator operation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Good understanding of workplace safety and safe operating practices.
Responsible, independent and able to work well in a team.
Positive working attitude with good communication skills.
