About the Role

Woodlands Social Centre (WSC) is looking for a committed, resourceful, and people-oriented individual to join us as a Fundraising Events & Programme Engagement Executive.

This is a dual-function role that combines fundraising event management, donor and community engagement, and programme coordination. The person in this role will support WSC's sustainability by planning and managing fundraising and publicity events that build donor interest and community support, while also contributing to the smooth coordination and implementation of programmes at the centre.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with people, is able to coordinate events well, and is passionate about creating meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Events & Donor Engagement

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, donor engagement activities, and publicity initiatives from start to finish.

  • Support the conceptualisation and implementation of fundraising campaigns and community engagement efforts.

  • Coordinate event logistics including venue setup, programme flow, guest management, registration, manpower deployment, vendors, and event materials.

  • Liaise with donors, sponsors, corporate partners, schools, volunteers, and community stakeholders to support event planning and execution.

  • Support sponsorship outreach, invitation management, stakeholder follow-up, and donor relationship-building efforts.

  • Prepare event-related materials such as decks, donor communications, event scripts, run sheets, and follow-up summaries.

  • Monitor and track event outcomes, donor engagement, sponsorship support, and post-event action items.

Programme Engagement & Coordination

  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of centre-based programmes and activities.

  • Assist with programme logistics, participant registration, attendance tracking, preparation of materials, and onsite coordination.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth programme delivery and a positive participant experience.

  • Support volunteer coordination and deployment for programmes and events where required.

  • Gather stories, feedback, simple programme data, and relevant outcomes for reporting and engagement purposes.

  • Contribute ideas to strengthen community participation and connect programme impact with fundraising narratives.

Partnerships, Publicity & Communications

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, corporate partners, volunteers, community stakeholders, and supporters.

  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, in-kind donations, and community collaborations.

  • Support outreach and publicity efforts to increase awareness of WSC's mission, work, and programmes.

  • Assist with content and materials for donor engagement, publicity, social media, and community communications as needed.

  • Represent WSC professionally at events, meetings, outreach engagements, and networking opportunities.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of event plans, donor contacts, sponsorship support, programme participation, and engagement outcomes.

  • Prepare basic reports, administrative documents, and updates related to fundraising events, programme activities, and partnerships.

  • Support general organisational and operational duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Communications, Marketing, Business, Community Development, Social Work, or related disciplines.

  • At least 2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in event management, fundraising, community engagement, partnerships, programme coordination, or related areas preferred.

  • Experience in planning and coordinating events with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good organisational, coordination, and administrative skills.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders effectively.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Willing to support occasional evening or weekend events when required.

  • Prior experience in the social service or non-profit sector would be an advantage.
