JOB PURPOSE
As a core member of the Resource Development (RD) Team, you will report to and work closely with the Assistant Head and share collective responsibilities in meeting the society's fundraising objectives. In particular, as part of the events team, you will plan, organise and execute Signature fundraising events such as Grateful Hearts Day, Charity Golf, Gala Dinner, Concert and Key Community Fundraising / Community engagement events. You will also work closely with the volunteers, volunteer leaders. internal and external stakeholders including organising committee, vendors, partners, sponsors and donors to ensure the events are executed timely and successfully.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the conceptualisation, lead the planning and organising of all events including fundraising events, community engagement roadshows, workshops /conferences, corporate engagements and volunteer appreciation events.
- Duties include project management, sourcing for and evaluating venues and vendors, developing programmes, garnering sponsorships, ensuring that events are on budget, managing event organisers logistics support, on-site facilitation, post-event follow-up and performing secretariat duties for event committees within deadlines.
- Manage fundraising resources (e.g. merchandise, donation boxes, goodie bags, certificates, signage, and marketing materials).
- Work alongside volunteers to support and drive fundraising and outreach initiatives and events.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams (Resource Development, Marketing & Communications, Volunteer Management, Donor Engagement) to deliver seamless events and outreach programmes.
- Help achieve the targets for fundraising events and contribute towards overall fundraising targets.
Job Specifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree or Diploma in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields, with up to 3 years of related experience in fundraising and/or events management.
- Proven track record in successfully organizing and executing events of varying scales.
- Experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
