We are currently seeking a Events and Marketing Intern to join our team and help us execute our marketing and event initiatives.
Job Description:
The Events and Marketing Intern (Intern) will be responsible for designing and executing community events that resonate with our audience. You will be given opportunities (as assigned) with Surety's and/or our client's social media channels, with diverse lines of businesses and initiatives. Candidates can expect to work in a hybrid work environment. This position is paid.

Responsibilities:
- Campaign Visuals: Design and refine campaign visuals with the marketing team for various marketing channels to ensure that the content is engaging, clear, and consistent with our brand identity. Co-created deliverables include web banners, social media posts (carousel etc), videos, electronic direct mails (eDMs), and a wide range of other marketing communication materials.
- Marketing Strategy Development: Collaborate with the stakeholders to devise, refine, and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the company's brand, products, or services.
- Market Research: Delve into comprehensive market research to gauge industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor strategies, thereby infusing fresh insights into the content and marketing approaches.
- Social Media Management: Developing and executing data-driven social media strategies to boost engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth. Content creation, copywriting, community management, analytics tracking, and campaign optimization across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Event Management: Planning, coordinating, and executing events from concept to completion. Vendor management, budgeting, logistics, and on-site operations to ensure seamless experiences. Stakeholder engagement, program design, and post-event evaluation to meet objectives and enhance attendee satisfaction.
- On-ground Responsibilities: Collaborate actively with the marketing team for on-ground tasks, which include curating video content by interviewing the company's target audience, setting up spaces, as well as capturing moments through photographs during company events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Digital Marketing, Events or Multimedia Arts).
- Have executed community or similar events.
- Familiar with community and stakeholder partnerships
- Attention to detail for content, partnerships and project management.
- Comfort with interaction with external stakeholders.
Great to haves:
- Familiarity with Wix or similar website platforms, including basic troubleshooting and content updating.
- Basic skills in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) or Canva, with an eye for aesthetics and brand consistency.
- Writing and/or editing skills, with a flair for crafting engaging content tailored for different platforms, especially for reels and social posts.
- Familiarity with video editing software like CapCut and Canva
