Job Description:
As an Event Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for clients searching for the perfect event space. You will assist with venue recommendations, manage corporate accounts, coordinate event logistics, and ensure seamless execution. From sourcing suppliers for equipment rentals to hosting wedding shows, your role will be pivotal in delivering exceptional experiences for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients in finding suitable venues for corporate events, weddings, and other functions.
- Manage and service existing corporate accounts, ensuring smooth booking processes and maintaining strong relationships.
- Coordinate with suppliers for event requirements, such as chair rentals, catering, AV equipment, and other meeting essentials.
- Be present on-site during events to oversee and ensure flawless execution.
- Provide tailored assistance to wedding couples, helping them select venues for Chinese, Malay, Indian, and other cultural wedding celebrations.
- Plan, organize, and host wedding shows to showcase Venuexplorer's offerings and build relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote Venuexplorer's services and events.
- Provide post-event support, gather client feedback, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Requirements:
- Experience in event planning, coordination, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of venues and event planning resources in Singapore.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and solution-driven.
- Flexibility to work on-site during events, which may occasionally include weekends or evenings.
- Knowledge of cultural wedding traditions and practices is a plus.
- Preferred: hotel or event/venue sales background.
