At Funco, we create fun, meaningful, and memorable events — from family days and carnivals to corporate gatherings, dinner events, community activations, and customised experiences.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for an Event Planner / Event Executive to join our team.
This role is best suited for someone who already has some hands-on event experience and is ready to take on more responsibility in planning, proposals, client servicing, and event execution.
We are not looking for a fresh graduate for this role, and you must possess the passion and some experience. We are looking for someone with the right level of experience — capable, grounded, hands-on, and ready to grow with the company.
⸻
What You'll Be Involved In
• Supporting the planning and coordination of events from brief to execution
• Understanding client briefs and helping to develop event ideas and solutions
• Preparing proposal decks, event concepts, programme flow, and presentation materials
• Supporting costing, timelines, production schedules, and planning documents
• Liaising with clients, vendors, suppliers, designers, operations teams, and internal stakeholders
• Coordinating event logistics, manpower, equipment, layouts, permits, and onsite requirements
• Supporting onsite execution, setup, rehearsals, show flow, event cues, and teardown
• Managing event details to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction
• Assisting with post-event follow-ups, reports, evaluations, and improvements
⸻
What We're Looking For
• Ideally at least 2 years of hands-on experience in event planning, event coordination, event servicing, or event operations
• Experience in family days, carnivals, corporate events, dinner events, community events, activations, or agency-style event work will be an advantage
• Able to write and prepare basic proposal decks with clear event concepts and planning flow
• Able to understand how an event works operationally — including logistics, setup, suppliers, manpower, schedules, and onsite coordination
• Comfortable being client-facing and communicating with clients professionally
• Good coordination, communication, and follow-through skills
• Organised and able to manage timelines, deadlines, and multiple moving parts
• Creative enough to contribute ideas, but practical enough to know what can be delivered
• A strong team player who is willing to learn, support others, and grow with the company
• Diploma/Degree in Events, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields will be preferred, but relevant event experience matters most
⸻
Who This Role Is Best For
This role is ideal for someone who has already been exposed to event planning and execution, and now wants to grow in a company where ideas, ownership, and teamwork matter.
You should be able to contribute to proposals, support client conversations, understand operations, and help bring events from paper to reality.
At Funco, we are expanding from rentals into full event experiences. We are looking for someone who can plug into the team, learn quickly, take initiative, and grow with us as we create more fun and memorable events for our clients.
⸻
Who This Role May Not Be Suitable For
To help candidates understand the fit clearly, this role may not be suitable if you:
• Are looking for a very senior management position
• Have no prior event planning or event coordination experience
• Prefer a role that is purely administrative with no client-facing or onsite involvement
• Are not comfortable preparing proposals or working with event concepts
• Are not ready for the fast-moving nature of event work
