Events Operations Manager
Singapore (hybrid office role)
Salary: $50 – 60,000 per annum + bonus
My client is a global leader in business conferences with offices in Europe, Asia & the US, due to continued expansion a role has arisen for an Events Manager from the B2B conference space to work on the APAC portfolio of events.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-event correspondence with delegates and sponsors.
- Managing outgoing expenditure and maintaining accurate budgets.
- Negotiating, liaising and managing relationships with event venues and suppliers.
- Creating and designing event signage and exhibition floor plans.
- Sourcing branded items – lanyards, sponsorship inventory etc.
- Managing dinners, drinks receptions and bespoke networking events.
- Booking staff travel and accommodation.
- Managing onsite event teams and event registration.
- Organising onsite meetings between attendees and sponsors
Qualities, Characteristics, Skills & Experience Required:
- Ability to use initiative.
- Positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task whilst maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers & clients.
- Good at working and communicating with colleagues on an individual and team level.
- Proficient at cost management and forecasting.
- At least 1 years experience in the coordination of b2b events for 100+ people.
- Experience in managing exhibitions/sponsors.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent time management.
