About raiSE and the role
We believe that Social Enterprises are the Future of Businesses. They are geared towards a double bottom line of achieving intentional social impact creation alongside sustainable financial returns. The Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise, raiSE was launched in 2015 to raise awareness of Social Enterprises and to provide end-to-end enterprise development support to help Social Enterprises in Singapore build capabilities to scale.
The Event Coordinator (Internship) is to support the planning and execution of various initiatives, with a particular focus on activities related to our 10th Anniversary celebrations. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Public Relations, Events and Partnerships (PEP) within the social enterprise sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and coordination of key initiatives undertaken by the PEP team
- Support the logistical arrangements for events, such as venue sourcing, vendor management, and material preparation.
- Assist with the creation of event-related materials, including invitations, marketing collaterals, and on-site set-up requirements.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Assist in post-event follow-up, including feedback collection and reporting.
- Perform administrative tasks, as required.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in event planning and the social enterprise sector.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- A proactive and can-do attitude.
