The EUC (Desktop Support) Support Engineer will provide onsite end-user computing (EUC) support, acting as the first line of physical and local IT assistance. The role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, hardware support, coordination with remote IT teams, and ensuring a seamless end-user experience.
Scope of Services / Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals
- Perform hardware installations, replacements, and basic repairs
- Troubleshoot Windows and macOS operating systems and standard office applications
- Assist with network connectivity issues (wired, wireless, basic LAN troubleshooting)
- Act as the local point of contact for remote IT teams during incident and problem resolution
- Log, track, and document incidents, service requests, and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Maintain IT asset inventory, ensuring adherence to company standards and controls
- Support hardware and peripheral setup, including monitors, docking stations, and accessories
- Communicate clearly and professionally with end users in English
- Lift, move, and set up IT equipment as required to support onsite operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in Desktop / EUC / IT Support
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and macOS environments
- Familiarity with common office productivity tools (Microsoft 365, browsers, collaboration tools)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, Wi-Fi, LAN connectivity)
- Experience using ITSM / ticketing tools
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Engagement Expectations
- Onsite presence as per agreed schedule
- Services delivered independently, using contractor's own methods and judgment
- No authority to represent, bind, or make commitments on behalf of the company
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment (desktops, monitors, printers) as required for support activities
Compliance & Legal
- This role is offered strictly as an Independent Contractor engagement
- Contractor is responsible for all local taxes, statutory obligations, and insurance
- All work products and documentation created as part of the services are the property of the company
