Overview

An End User Computing (EUC) Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop systems, laptops, applications, and IT equipment to ensure smooth business operations. The engineer acts as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests, resolving issues quickly and escalating complex problems when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • End User Support able to Provide Level 1 / Level 2 technical support to users through phone, email, remote access, or in-person support. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops. Respond to user requests and incidents through IT service management tools.
  • Desktop & Laptop Support Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems. Troubleshoot system performance issues, boot problems, and driver errors. Perform system upgrades, patches, and updates.
  • Software Installation & Troubleshooting, Install and support applications such as: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and Web browsers and business applications. Resolve issues related to application crashes, updates, and compatibility
  • Troubleshoot basic network issues including LAN connectivity , Wi-Fi connection, VPN access and IP configuration.
  • User Account Management : Manage user accounts using Active Directory, they Perform tasks including: Password resets, Account unlocks, User creation and deletion and Group policy assignments
  • IT Ticketing & Incident Management Log and track incidents using tools like: ServiceNow and Jira Service Management, Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA timelines.
  • Hardware & Peripheral Support and maintain IT equipment such as: Desktops and laptops, Printers, scanners, Monitors, docking stations, Keyboards, mouse, and other peripherals

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • min 1 year of experience in EUC Support , desktop support, technical support, or IT helpdesk roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office/O365, and common desktop applications.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, etc.).
  • Familiarity with printers, mobile devices, and hardware repairs.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with users at all technical levels.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
