Role Title: EUC Engineer

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Singapore

Contract Duration: 12 months & extendable (Extension is subject to project requirements.)

Work Mode: Work From Office (WFO) role.

About the Role:

It is a technical leadership position focused on managing, securing, and automating all the devices and virtual workspaces that employees use every day, with a heavy focus on tools like MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).

What will you actually do (Core Responsibilities)

1. Device & Workspace Setup (Hardware & Virtual)

• Design and manage physical devices (Windows PCs, laptops, iPads, thin clients) and virtual desktops (like VMware Horizon).
• Ensure employees can easily log in and work from anywhere, whether their desktop is physical or in the cloud.

1. OS Deployments & Updates (The MECM Focus)

• Oversee operating system upgrades (moving to Windows 10 or 11) across hundreds or thousands of computers at once.
• Use management tools like MECM, Intune, and Altiris to push updates, configurations, and software automatically.

1. Cloud & System Migrations

• Lead large projects, such as moving company data and applications from traditional on-premise servers to modern cloud solutions, or upgrading old operating systems without disrupting the business.

1. Automation & Scripting

• Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks (like setting up new computers for incoming staff or pushing out software updates in bulk) to save time and reduce manual errors.

1. Security & Performance

• Keep all devices secure by enforcing encryption, endpoint protection, and company compliance rules.
• Monitor system performance to make sure computers aren't lagging and employees have a great user experience.

1. Leadership, Troubleshooting & Training

• Act as the technical expert when complex IT issues arise, finding root causes to fix them permanently.
• Write documentation, lead projects, and mentor junior IT team members.

Summary of Key Skills Needed

• Primary Tool:MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) is the star of the show.
• Secondary Tools: Microsoft Intune, Altiris, VMware Horizon.
• Core Competencies: Operating system deployment, cloud migration, automation/scripting, device security, and troubleshooting.
