Job Description

The Estate & Facilities Manager leads a team of property officers to manage and maintain public and commercial facilities within an assigned estate portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring high standards of estate upkeep, responsiveness to stakeholder feedback, regulatory compliance, and effective vendor and cost management.

You will work closely with senior leadership and key community stakeholders to deliver well-maintained, safe, and liveable environments, while driving continuous improvement across estate operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Property Officers to deliver consistent and high-quality estate management services.
  • Partner with senior leadership and community stakeholders to oversee the maintenance and enhancement of common areas across residential and commercial properties.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance performance targets are consistently met or exceeded through regular inspections and operational reviews.
  • Engage residents, community representatives, and stakeholders to identify, plan, and execute estate improvement initiatives.
  • Plan and oversee cyclical and preventive maintenance programmes, including lifts, rooftops, water pumps, lighting systems, bin centres, and other shared infrastructure.
  • Support governance and committee work by acting as Secretariat for assigned committees (e.g. Estate Management, Audit & Risk, Project Development), ensuring timely reporting and follow-up on action items.
  • Supervise pest management services to ensure treatments are carried out effectively and in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee vendor performance, including response to feedback, verification of completed works, and approval of payments.
  • Plan and manage estate upgrading and improvement projects such as sheltered walkways, playground enhancements, and neighbourhood renewal initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate, Building Management, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in estate, township, or facilities operations, with proven people leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of estate operations, building maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage residents, community representatives, and external agencies effectively.
  • A collaborative, empathetic leader who works well with diverse stakeholder groups and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
