ERP Lead Functional Consultant

Job Overview

The Lead Functional Consultant is a strategic role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Epicor Kinetic. You will lead the functional workstream of complex implementations, ensuring that business processes are optimized and that the final solution aligns with the client's long-term digital transformation goals. You will serve as the bridge between technical execution and executive-level business requirements.

Responsibilities:

 ·       Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the successful delivery of full-cycle Epicor Kinetic implementation projects, ensuring milestones are met with technical and functional integrity.

·       Solution Architecture: Lead business process analysis workshops to translate complex client requirements into robust, scalable, and integrated functional designs.

·       Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary subject matter expert and trusted advisor for C-suite and key client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Pre-Sales Leadership: Drive pre-sales activities, including complex product demonstrations, technical scoping, and the creation of detailed proposals.

·       Mentorship & Quality Control: Provide guidance and peer reviews for other consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring adherence to implementation best practices.

·       Continuous Innovation: Drive the evolution of internal implementation methodologies, tools, and consulting frameworks to stay ahead of Epicor Kinetic updates.

·       Hands-on Excellence: Perform high-level functional design, configuration, and oversight of testing/deployment strategies for mission-critical Epicor modules.

Minimum Criteria:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of ERP Functional Consulting experience.
• Proven experience leading the functional stream of at least 3–5 enterprise level full-cycle ERP implementations.
• Expert-level functional knowledge across core: Financials, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Production Management, and MES.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences.

Preferred Skills:

• Direct, extensive experience with Epicor Kinetic (Cloud and On-Premise) is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a Solution Architect or Senior Pre-Sales capacity.
• Proficiency with Epicor technical tools (BAQs, Dashboards, BMPs, or Configurator) to better bridge the gap between functional design and technical build.
• Formal Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2) or official Epicor Certifications.
