YOUR ROLE
- Working independently, is responsible to manage and works with a group of Maintenance staff in achieving the best possible maintenance cost per wafer, equipment reliability, equipment yields and throughput parameters.
- Provide technical support and expertise on specific tools to Maintenance Specialist and Line Support Staffs.
- Translates the requirements of Production and Engineering needs into maintenance tasks and work closely with them to achieve the overall committed targets in all aspects of manufacturing parameters.
Internal
- Daily; with Production and Engineering in prioritizing and solving problems affecting production targets and wafer quality.
- Informal; with IE & Central Support group in equipment installation/relocation and OEE improvement projects.
- When required; with Facilities in resolving facilities-related problems
- When required; with Purchasing, Store, Material Planner, Central Maintenance for all spare parts related issues
External
- When required, meet Equipment vendors on machine / process related improvement
- When required, vendor meeting to discuss any equipment related outstanding issue.
- When required, with Local/overseas engineering company on technical services
- When required, attend to Customer audit (through ST QA)
Your Skills & Experiences
- The incumbent must be specialized and having minimum knowledge in at least one or two semiconductor equipment type.
- The incumbent must be having good technical knowledge on semiconductor manufacturing.
- The incumbent is required to demonstrate some leadership skill.
- The incumbent is required to resolve equipment problems with limited resources.
- The incumbent is required to write procedures and should be able to define improvement actions and carry actions with minimum supervision.
- The incumbent is required to involves in innovation FIT meetings and report on the progress to the direct supervisor.
- The incumbent is also required to meet the equipment vendors for improvements or to resolve problems. The incumbent should adhere to escalation policy ensuring proper management notification and technical direction, while developing action plans to resolve all situations.
